Digital Marketing Manager

Rockit Science is looking for a highly resourceful and creative Digital Marketing Manager who has a track record of success in developing and executing digital marketing strategies. The candidate will utilize multiple channels including search engines and social media for clients and the agency to create integrated digital marketing strategies. Expert knowledge of both programmatic digital buying, content planning, influencer marketing, email marketing, and SEO is essential.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies and tactics for the agency and select clients
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), pay-per-click (PPC), email and demand generation marketing
  • Plan and execute digital marketing strategies based on client goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies
  • Develop and manage website content
  • Must be able to translate data from campaign performance results and create an easy-to-understand and actionable narrative for clients
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the success of campaign delivery, performance, and execution
  • Lead Social Media (Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram) strategy
  • Provide direction and leadership over day-to-day social media activities. Tasks include gathering content from others, crafting content as needed in the appropriate voice, gaining compliance approval, online advocacy, and promotions
  • Manage marketing tags and pixels including overall tracking strategy, implementation, and reporting
  • Manage website content to enhance organic and natural search
  • Drive interest through social media, including forums, linking and blogging
  • Establish and document best practices, standards, key performance indicators, internal controls, and processes
  • Manage advertising budget and track spending and return on investment
  • Analyze digital marketing programs and campaigns for their impact
  • Apply in-depth understanding of consumer insights, including demographic/psychographic trends, consumer perceptions/attitudes, need states, motivations, and purchase/consumption behavior to advance the business
  • Manage and analyze marketing messaging, testing, analytics to make recommendations and decisions with high impact results
  • Provide leadership, thorough research-driven knowledge, and management of online advertising purchasing models (CPM, CPA, CPC), as well as conversion analysis, ROI analysis, and customer acquisition cost analysis
  • Manage digital marketing budget(s); both the agency and clients
  • Determine the use of outside vs. in house resources to support digital area

Lead all aspects of:

  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM); Google certified preferred; extensive PPC, Display, and Retargeting
  • Programmatic Media Buying (display and video)
  • Connected TV (OTT and CTV)
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Hubspot

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree) is required in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience with direct accountability for building a multi-channel digital strategy
  • Google Certifications
  • Deep knowledge of SEM, Adwords, Content Distribution Networks, and Affiliate Marketing
  • Understanding of SEM, SEO, Online Display, and Social Media marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Kenshoo, Marchex, and Facebook Business Manager)
  • Must have excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear manner to clients
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Proven ability to consistently meet monthly deadlines
  • Must be able to analyze data and identify trends
  • Strong financial acumen to evaluate product line P&L performance is required
  • Must have excellent communication skills with a track record for coordinating complex projects across cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in MS Office required
  • Self-motivated professional able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform under stress and adapt well when confronted with an emergency or escalating situation
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Google Certifications a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and root cause analysis experience
  • A positive and "can do" attitude
  • The Agency works in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Dallas, D.C., Austin, Portland, and the Pacific Northwest. Some travel is required for this job.
