The Advertising Federation of Greater Baton Rouge announced the winners of its 2008 ADDY Awards in recognition of outstanding creativity.
A panel of advertising executives from three out-of-state markets judged more than 600 entries. More than 45 advertising businesses, individuals and students were recognized for their achievements and creativity. The organization presented 77 gold and 111 silver awards. Students received six gold and 22 silver awards.
Best of Show Awards by category went to: Mesh Design, annual report; TILT, print, for "Swine Palace 2007 Show Posters;" Transformyx, interactive media, for Scott Fence; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, broadcast, for its "2 Step Campaign;" and Jenny Gilbert, student, for "LOVE understood."
Judge's Choice Awards went to Object 9 for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber 2006 Annual Report; Wright Feigley Communications for Baton Rouge Radiology Group's "X-Ray" invitation; Mesh Design for Belgard's "Collection 08 Standard;" and the student award to David Robbins and Elizabeth Wilks for LSU's "Bandaid We Understand."
Winners of the Baton Rouge ADDY Awards are eligible to compete in district competition and potentially for a National ADDY, presented by the American Advertising Federation.
